Confined space entry – low risk

Considers activities in low risk environments where breathing apparatus or escape sets are not require ie shallow trenches etc. This course looks at relevant legislative requirements.

Confined space entry – medium risk

Considers activities where delegates are attached to a fall arrest/recovery line and where escape sets will be required ie deep trenches & shafts etc.

The course includes use of escape sets and gas monitors. This course also looks relevant legislative requirements.

Confined space entry – high risk

Considers entry in complex systems where the operative moves away from the entry point and disconnects from any recovery line. The course includes use of escape sets and gas monitors and the requirements for a ready to go rescue team. This course also looks at relevant legislative requirements.

Confined space entry awareness

Covers general awareness of confined spaces with reference to all the techniques required in confined space entry. The course includes use of escape sets and gas monitors and looks at relevant legislative requirements.

Safe working at height

Personnel who, as part of their operational duties, must carry out or supervise any projects when working at height. This course looks at W@H equipment and includes relevant legislative requirements.

Abrasive wheels

This course if for any one who uses and fits abrasive wheels to machines such as angle grinders, bench grinders and stihl saws and looks at relevant legislative requirements.

Asbestos awareness

This is a mandatory course for anyone with the potential to be exposed to asbestos or asbestos containing material products (ACMs).

Risk assessment/method statement

Site managers, site agents, designers and those who carry out risk assessment and method statement as part of their activities or who are responsible for the review and approval of risk assessments/method statements and looks at relevant legislative requirements.

Safe assembly and use of alloy towers

Personnel who are involved in Erecting Alloy Scaffold towers, Mobilizing Alloy Scaffold towers inspecting Alloy Scaffold towers, dismantling Alloy Scaffold towers and includes coverage of relevant legislative requirements.

Safe use and pre-use inspection of ladders

Personnel who, as part of their operational duties, must carry out or supervise any projects when working at height and using ladders or step ladders. This course looks at W@H equipment and includes relevant legislative requirements.

Safe use and pre-use inspection of harnesses

Personnel who, as part of their operational duties, must carry out or supervise any projects when working at height that requires the use of harnesses. This course looks at W@H equipment and includes relevant legislative requirements.

Demolition safety awareness

General safety awareness for those involved in demolition works, it includes hazard awareness and looks at safe systems of work and references current legislative requirements.

Fire risk assessment – the process

This course covers what is a fire risk assessment, and explains the process for carrying out a fire risk assessment including a close look at the regulatory reform fire safety order.

Fire warden/Marshall

For those who have duties relating to fire safety and evacuation of premises as part of their daily duties it includes a close look at the regulatory reform fire safety order and general fire safety at work with emphasis on safe evacuation.

COSHH awareness

General awareness of chemical storage and handling in relation to current legislative requirements.

Manual handling

A look at what manual handling is and is not, how unsafe manual handling operations can harm us and what we can do to minimise the potential for harm.

Vehicle banksman

A required course for anyone responsible for manoeuvring plant and vehicles on site. This is not a crane banksman course.

Train the trainer

Instructional techniques to give any training/instructor or supervisor with the responsibility to disseminate health & safety information to a workforce. Useful for full training sessions as well as short toolbox type talks.

Construction site safety
